"SECRETS AND LIES" OFFICIAL RELEASE


We've all been hearing lots about Paul Zunckel's war-set fiction since the first official announcement in May. After a wonderful three months of collaboration with the author, KREST Publishers is proud to announce that the book has been officially released as of 25 July 2020.

About the Book:

The late South African seventies sees the lives of the SADF soldiers and their families collide under ominous circumstances.
Jason Sinclair, during strike action against SWAPO terrorists in Angola, becomes responsible for the death of his best friend, Gary Shimmler, during a tragic battlefield mishap. The accident leaves Jason on a reckless hunt for redemption. Gary's death leaves his mother and sister Lucy alone to run the family's Drakensburg farmhouse. In the midst of their turmoil, a scammer sets his eyes on their farmhouse. Reginald Bates has swindled people out of house and home, and the Shimmler farmstead is to be another notch in his belt. To make matters worse, Lucy's steady partner, naval aviator Brad Tucker, has gone missing in war-torn Congo.
Spanning countries and continents, Secrets and Lies is a story of dramatic highs from previous SADF serviceman Paul Zunckel.

About the Author:

Paul Zunckel grew up in Colenso in central Kwa-Zulu Natal. Drafted into the South African Defence Force in July 1977, he did his basic training at 1 Maintenance Unit in Kimberley. He served eight months on the border and the remaining time of his National Service at Natal Command in Durban. His civilian career spans 35 years in the shipping industry.
Paul is semi-retired and lives in Ballito on the Kwa-Zulu Natal North Coast with his wife Lesley. They have two grown up children and one grandchild.
